Progresstech-Ukraine and KPI launch 5 new certificate programs of dual form of education
June 14, 2022
Progresstech-Ukraine and KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi, the dual component of joint educational projects for the training of engineers is being strengthened and 5 new certificate programs of the first (bachelor) level of higher education are being launched. The formation of student groups began in April, classes will start in the fall, at the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year.
The certificate program (SP) is a complex of interconnected educational components aimed at in-depth professional training of trainees in accordance with the current needs of the economy and the demands of high-tech business. Participation in the JV is available both to students of higher education at KPI and to external students who are not students of the Kyiv Polytechnic.
Progresstech-Ukraine became partners in the creation of new programs of a dual form of education: 5 educational and scientific divisions of KPI: Mechanical and Mechanical Engineering Institute, Institute of Aerospace Technologies, Faculty of Instrumentation, Faculty of Electronics and Faculty of Radio Engineering.
Together with them, the company launched the following joint ventures in 2022:
● Aircraft construction (specialty 131 Applied Mechanics);
● Applied engineering of aircraft and rocket engineering (134 Aviation and rocket and space engineering);
● Computer-integrated design technologies (151 Automation and computer-integrated technologies);
● Electronics of civil aircraft (171 Electronics);
● Radio-electronic means of aviation equipment (172 Telecommunications and radio equipment).
The educational components of each of the certificate programs, implemented with the participation of Progressech-Ukraine, are carefully selected selective educational disciplines, as well as pre-diploma practice in the company. Mastering the proposed disciplines will enable the student to acquire the knowledge and professional competences necessary to work in an engineering position at Progresstech-Ukraine and to participate in international aerospace projects.
A student chooses a certain certificate program through the exercise of his right to a free choice of academic disciplines. Therefore, the formation of groups of students of bachelor's studies takes place in the 2nd year in the spring (IV semester) during the period of enrollment of students for selective disciplines. The training will last for 3-4 courses. Educational services to students will be provided by teachers of relevant departments of the university and specialists of Progressech-Ukraine.
Depending on the existing risks to the life and health of students and teachers caused by the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, classes this fall will take place in one of three formats - distance, face-to-face or hybrid (mixed).
Successful completion of studies will be certified by a separate university-style certificate in addition to the traditional higher education diploma.
