Turkmenabad airport is back in operation after completion of its reconstruction on 26 February 2018. Turkmenabad is the second largest city in the Republic of Turkmenistan. The airport's modernization and expansion were designed with significant Progresstech Ukraine involvement.
The airport now has over fifty new operational, technical, and administrative facilities designed by Progresstech Ukraine architects and engineers. All facilities have been developed with a combination of high-tech solutions and the historic regional architectural style.
The best examples of this unique design are the passenger terminal and VIP terminal shaped as an eight-pointed star – the architectural heritage of Central Asia. Other designs developed by Progresstech Ukraine are the ATC tower and air traffic management center; cargo terminal; MRO hangars and facilities; airport hotel; medical center; and administrative buildings for the departments managing the electricity supply and airdrome lighting system, aviation security and access control, airport management, and customs.
