Progresstech-Ukraine is expanding the list of training programs and areas of engineer training
May 19, 2022
The Progressech-Ukraine company joined the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science to expand the network and increase the availability of distance training programs in order to organize continuous and safe training in wartime conditions.
Progresstech-Ukraine restored the previously created and launched new programs of in-depth training of students and graduates of Ukrainian universities for engineering work in the aviation industry and other high-tech sectors of the economy.
In particular, in the spring the company resumed remote classes under the 8-month engineering development program "Design and analysis of elements of aircraft structures", which started in the fall of the previous year. The program is moderated by specialists of the Kharkiv educational center Progresstech-Ukraine. Education is available to students and graduates of technical and natural sciences at any of the universities and colleges of Ukraine.
Also during the war, in March of this year, the traditional 3-month engineering training courses "Fundamentals of Aircraft Design" began on the basis of the Joint Training Center of KPI named after Igor Sikorskyi and Progressech-Ukraine. The transition to a distance learning format made it possible to expand the geography of the "Spring-2022" recruitment. Therefore, this spring, course participants represent technical universities not only in Kyiv, but also in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kropyvnytskyi and other student centers of Ukraine.
The novel of the current academic year was the 4-month courses "Service engineering in civil aviation", designed to prepare students and graduates of the National Aviation University (NAU, Kyiv) for engineering work in the aviation industry. Progresstech-Ukraine, a joint project with NAU, launched after the start of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine.
In general, during active resistance to Russian armed aggression - in conditions of large-scale hostilities, occupation of Ukrainian territories, forced resettlement of millions of citizens, destruction of civilian objects, including infrastructure of higher education institutions - Progressech-Ukraine managed to maintain effective connections with universities, support the productivity and demand of educational programs. So, as last year, about 70 students attend the virtual classes of the spring modules of the company's cyclical training courses.
In the meantime, joint dual programs for targeted training of engineers for Progresstech-Ukraine are being arranged for the new academic year according to a separate schedule for the new academic year. A significant expansion of the project is planned, including the involvement of several more faculties of the Kyiv Polytechnic.
Also, in May of this year, the company accepted KPI students for pre-diploma practice, which, like last year, takes place in an online format.
