Progresstech Ukraine and KAI opened a joint learning space for aviation service engineering

5 June 2026

Progresstech Ukraine and the National University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” (KAI) opened Aviation Frontier Space, the first specialized center in Ukraine for training aviation service engineers. Training for future aircraft maintenance and operational support specialists will begin here soon.

One of KAI’s reconstructed buildings became the base for the new innovative educational space. It is equipped with a spacious computer modeling classroom using specialized design automation systems and engineering calculations. The production area houses workshops for mastering the technologies of manufacturing, repairing, and testing aviation components. The production facilities are equipped, in particular, with FDM 3D layer-by-layer deposition printers, machining centers, riveting devices, and specialized hydropulsation systems for static and dynamic materials testing.

Aviation Frontier Space will function both as a location for classic academic classes and as a laboratory where students, university professors, and engineering company specialists will be able to experiment and implement their projects.

Creating a joint training center is a logical continuation of the strategic partnership between KAI and Progresstech Ukraine. For more than 10 years, the university and company have been implementing dual education programs, engineering practical experience, and internships for students. During this time, more than 200 KAI graduates have joined the engineering team of the Ukrainian company, which is a leading regional provider of intellectual services for the global aerospace market.
